How to Prepare Your Concert Nails: A 10-Minute Press-On Guide

演唱會應援甲怎麼準備 Often Light 封面

In 2026, concerts in Taipei and Kaohsiung are coming one after another. More and more fans are realising that when you put together a concert look — the outfit, the lightstick, the photocards — your hands are part of it too. When you raise your lightstick for a photo, your fingertips are right in the middle of the frame.

This guide covers concert nails from start to finish: why fans are choosing press-ons, how to choose a set, how to wear them on the day, and how to keep them afterwards.

Why press-on nails instead of gel for a concert?

Gel means booking an appointment, sitting for two hours and going back to the salon to remove it. Press-ons take 10 minutes at home, come off whenever you want after the show without damaging your nails, and can be worn again next time. If you want to look complete for one special day, it's the easiest way to do it.

Choosing concert nails: three directions

  1. Fan colours: most groups have an official colour. A cat-eye or solid set in the same tone is subtle, but the right people will notice.
  2. Inspired designs: designs that capture the feeling of a stage, era or album — not a logo stuck on a nail, but details you notice up close.
  3. Easy everyday styles: for your first time, a nude or short set goes with any outfit.

The difference between handmade press-ons and mass-produced ones is in the details: hand-painted layers, shine and the curve of the fit. You can see it when you zoom in on a photo.

Show-day timeline

  • The night before: check the fit (see how to choose your size) and pack your nails, adhesive tabs and tools.
  • 10 minutes before you leave: wash and dry your hands so the nails are oil-free → apply the tabs → press from base to tip for 10 seconds (full steps in our application guide).
  • At the venue: adhesive tabs are made for 1–2 days of wear — easily enough for the show and dinner afterwards.
  • Back home: remove them gently (see how to remove press-on nails) and put them back in the crystal case — ready for the next tour, or whenever you want to remember that night.

FAQ

Will they fly off when I'm waving my lightstick or clapping?

If they fit well and you've pressed them on properly, adhesive tabs hold up to normal activity for 1–2 days. Most lost nails come from a size that's too big and lifts, or oil left on the nail. Check the fit before you leave and you'll be fine.

Do concert nails need the group's logo?

No — and we don't recommend it. Colours and mood say enough. Low-key on the outside, joyful on the inside: you know what the set means to you.

Are they useless after the concert?

Not at all. Remove them gently, store them in the case and wear them again. Many of our customers keep a set from every concert, like a collection of ticket stubs for their fingertips.

What if I find out on the day that one doesn't fit?

Bring extra adhesive tabs — layering a little more can rescue a slightly large nail. If one really doesn't fit, skip that finger. With eight out of ten on, nobody will notice.
